Ceramic Tutorials and Classes

Hi! I am happy to announce that my YouTube Channel is up and running with new Ceramic Tutorials. The channel will also include tutorials with other materials and mediums.

A few years ago I created an online course teaching some of my ceramic pieces. It was a hard work that I couldn't make it happen if not for my son Gabriel. He is a talented photographer and cinematographer who make his living in that field. You can see his amazing work here. Now, with less fears and more confidence I learned a bit about creating and editing my own videos. I bought a camera, a tripod and a new table and also I learned some editing skills in Domestika, of course from YouTube and some hints from my sons. I am planning on adding new videos weekly but in the meantime I am editing the videos from the ceramic course because I think they are really good and it is time to share them especially because I am in a new path on my creative journey and teaching is part of it.

The tutorials are divided in two parts: the construction of the piece and the decoration. In between those videos I will add new ones that could help those with less experience. in making ceramic pieces. I really want to make this experience valuable for those who want to learn and for that reason I am including a PDF with more instructions and the template of the piece for most of the tutorials. A link will be included in the description of the video.

Please check below my first ceramic tutorial, whose PDF is ready to download in the Tutorials on this web page.

I hope you enjoy the video and the lesson. Stay tuned for more and if you are into ceramics and other crafts please Like my video and register for my YouTube Channel. I know this new experience will be very fulfilling.

In other matters I have been postponing for so long the practice of gratitude in a meaningful and as a constant and daily action. I have been learning the many ways people practice gratitude and I confess that I was a bit lazy about that. This past year has been very difficult and scary for everyone and one way to keep the my sanity is practicing gratitude, compassion, good thoughts, breathing, praying and everything that could help me overcome this nightmare of the pandemic. So, starting today and everyday I will write a note with at least three things I am grateful for and if I am writing a blog post like today, I will share the gratitude list in it. So, here is my list for today:

  1. I am grateful for my son Gabriel for making those videos for the ceramic course and for sending me the beautiful image of the planter (i didn't have to ask for it).

  2. I am grateful that I had the first vaccine shot on Saturday thanks to the initiative of beautiful and amazing people in the First Baptist Church in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

  3. I am grateful for the laugh of my grandchildren because I see hope in them and they make my life joyful.

  4. I am grateful for those who has written books that inspires us to find joy and gratitude every single day.

Thanks for your support and for your life, you all are a gift for humanity!

Be safe and enjoy the ride,

From my heart,

Elizabeth Claire
